Accredited in Business Valuation

To provide assurance that business valuation service providers are experienced, tested and accredited, AICPA has developed the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) program for CPAs.

Those who earn the ABV designation must:

* Be a member in good standing of the AICPA
* Hold a valid CPA certificate of license
* Demonstrate substantial experience in business valuation
* Pass a rigorous written exam

To maintain the ABV credential, a CPA must meet the requirements for reaccreditation every three years. These include submitting evidence of continuing substantial involvement in the discipline and completing related Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses. The ABV designation certifies that you are working with an accredited valuation professional ? a CPA who brings added value to a valuation engagement.

As a CPA/ABV we combine a sophisticated understanding of accounting, taxation, financial statement analysis and business operations in many different industries with proven competence in valuation. Building on our core competencies, the ABV gives us an advantage in meeting your valuation needs.

The advantages of a CPA Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) include:

* Rigorous ABV Accreditation requirements by AICPA
* Proven competence in the complexities of business valuation
* Advanced CPA training and broad knowledge of finance and business
* Skill in selecting the most appropriate valuation methodology

The CPA/ABV designation is the mark of a valuation professional who is able to provide a sound, credible valuation based on all relevant facts, common sense, and informed judgment and reasonableness.
